Guru Purnima 2026 - The Most Auspicious Night of the Vedic Calendar

In Sanskrit, Guru means the one or that which removes darkness, and Purnima means fullness or full moon: a full moon, but also a heart and spirit full of life, gratitude, and abundance. On this most auspicious night, we gather precisely to celebrate that.
It is a night of gratitude to all the teachers of the tradition who passed down this powerful technique to us in such a pure form. We give thanks to the Vedic masters, but also to all the teachers that life has brought our way. We are grateful for the challenges that have made us wiser and stronger. In truth, we are grateful for everything that has been part of the path leading us to this moment in our evolution.
On this night, we gather to contemplate that entire process and, for a moment, retrace our own path. We perform a ceremony of gratitude, just like the one you experienced when you learned to meditate; we meditate as a group, and afterwards, we share chai, food, and desserts. Finally, we go outside to contemplate the full moon and bathe in the very special light of this night.

This wish should be something that benefits both oneself and the collective. We invite you to reflect on something you would like to cultivate, develop, experience, or learn. By offering our flower, we also offer that wish to the intelligence of the universe, trusting that it knows better than we do how to organize things for our highest growth and well-being.
We would love for you to join us in this very special event. Several Vedic Meditation teachers will be there, and all Vedic meditators are welcome. It is a beautiful opportunity to gather as a community, enjoy, share, and deepen our practice and our process even further.
The event is free, though you are welcome to bring some food to share if you wish. To register and save your spot, click here and fill out this brief form. Closer to the date, you will receive an email or a WhatsApp message with the event's address.
With all my love,
Jai Guru Deva
